2 million people on average suffer from whiplash yearly. Usually the result of a car crash, Whiplash happens when the neck, back and head experience are forced backwards and forwards very quickly. Whiplash is a complex disorder and can range in severity.
Some signs and symptoms of a whiplash injury might include:
Along with standard medical therapy and treatment, chiropractors are often sought to assist with relief from the injury. In fact, because of the nature of the injury, chiropractors are particularly well suited to deal with treatment and relief can be gained from only just a few sessions.
Recently, Dr. Shelly Jones took part in a chiropractor survey by Green Law Firm around whiplash, chiropractors and other treatment methods.
Some of the survey’s most interesting findings were the fact that 80% of patients had at least a moderate injury and the same number knew that they had whiplash but were looking to have it confirmed.
The survey also included quotes from yoga instructors, spine surgeons and doctors.
